Leftcoast Galleries is proud to present recent paintings by Fumiko Amano.  This is her first exhibition at the Gallery.  Amano is presenting new work from Dream Series, Kyoto Garden Series, Line Series and Downtown Series.

"Amano's work is a treasury of half-remembered poems, animated by the promise of their recovery."

Fumiko Amano was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan.  Her atmospheric paintings, created as visualizations of sound/dream/organic forms, have been exhibited at the Santa Monica Museum of Art, Lawrence Asher Gallery, LACMA Rental & Sales Gallery, MOCA, Claremont Museum of Art, & Murnau Art Gallery in Seville, Spain.  She was a 2010 C.O.L.A. Fellowship recipient.
